I had a bigger file opened through my network from my NAS. It worked fine. But while saving it froze. I ended the process and restarted Keyshot. Now I have the main file named like abcd.bip.tmp1. Beside the main file I have the last 2 revisions abcd.bip.223 and abcd.bip.224.
My first attempt,pt to rescue the file was making a copy of the corrupted file (abcd.bip.tmp1.) and renaming it to abcd.bip. This gave me an error message while trying to open it in Keyshot.
I found out that It is possible to use one of the revisions and renaming it by removing the revision number. But I didnt see this approach in the manual. https://manual.keyshot.com/manual/models-tab/revision-manager/ There it is only described to open the old revision through the revision manager. But that
s not possible when the saved main file is corrupted.
So this is for the record in case someone else runs into this problem
